It may not be fun for all, but another upcoming event in the works is an Entrepreneurship Week for the Huntington Area (including Ohioans and Kentuckians). This is being planned through the Entrepreneurial Support Network, a group of service providers located throughout the Advantage Valley that are coming alongside and partnering with the Advantage Valley Entrepreneurial League System to ensure that area entrepreneurs are linked with needed services as they work with coaches to grow their businesses. I am sure area entrepreneurs will be delighted to attend a number of planned activities that will give them new ideas and showcase their businesses. I will give you the date for this event as I get it.

Another upcoming event that would be fun for all ages is the skate park fundraiser in Fayetteville on August 25. There’s going to be a semi-pro skateboard demo, hiking trails, celebrity auction, catered dinner, and a live concert from the John Corbett Band (he played Aiden on Sex and the City and was also in My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Northern Exposure!!). The events run all day and children under 17 who come with a parent are free!!

Hey, the link to the Skate Park Fundraiser is broken in Marissa’s post…visit http://www.nrgpreserve.com to get the latest scoop on the fundraiser happening on August 25 at the New River Gorge Preserve in Fayetteville. It’s not just about a skate park–it’s also about creating a hiking/biking trail network to connect Fayetteville, Charleston, Huntington, Lewisburg, Summersville, Anstead, Ansted, Beckley, and White Sulphur Springs. For those of you who are conservationists, come out to see what one development is doing to make sure that West Virginians can live in harmony with nature.
